thereof, and to be under the sub-title "Roads Board", Section 369
thereof having been repealed by Chapter 189 of the Acts of 1957,
and Sections 370 to 380, inclusive, having been repealed by Chapter
331 of the Acts of 1955, to establish a County Roads Board for
Queen Anne's County, to provide for its powers and duties, and
for the regulation and control of the county roads system in Queen
Anne's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 369 to 380, inclusive, be and the same are hereby
added to Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's County", to follow immediately
after Section 368 thereof, and to be under the sub-title "Roads
Board", Section 369 thereof having been repealed by Chapter 189 of
the Acts of 1957, and Sections 370 to 380, inclusive, having been
repealed by Chapter 331 of the Acts of 1955, all to read as follows:

Roads Board

369.    (a) A County Roads Board for Queen Anne's County is
hereby created, and the Board of County Commissioners of Queen
Anne's County is hereby constituted the County Roads Board. The
County Roads Board shall enter upon its duties and assume the
responsibilities and powers herein and hereinafter conferred when,
but not until the effective date of the taking over of the roads in
Queen Anne's County by the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's
County from the State Roads Commission of Maryland pursuant to
the provisions of Article 89B, Section 222 of the Annotated Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended from
time to time).

(b). The County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County shall
have control over the public roads, bridges, drains, water courses,
public landings, disposal areas, culverts, ferries, and curbs and gut-
ters along the same, in Queen Anne's County, subject only to existing
rights and duties of the State Roads Commission of Maryland, until
Queen Anne's County takes over the construction, reconstruction and
maintenance of its County Roads pursuant to said Article 89B, Sec-
tion 222 of the Annotated Code of Public General Laws, and there-
after the said County Roads Board for Queen Anne's County shall
have control and shall regulate them.

370.    The County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County are
authorized, empowered and directed at the time of making their
annual levy to levy such amount annually as in their opinion shall
be necessary for the building, repairing, reconstructing, maintenance
and regulation of the use of the public roads, disposal areas, bridges,
drains, water courses, public landings, culverts, ferries, and curbs
and gutters along same, in Queen Anne's County, and for the pur-
chase and maintenance of equipment and for the purchase or rental
of land or buildings to be used for that purpose. The monies so levied
shall simply be designated, "For Construction, reconstruction and
maintenance of County roads, bridges, drains, water courses, public
landings, disposal areas, culverts, ferries, curbs and gutters, and
purchasing and renting of equipment, land and buildings in con-
nection therewith", but no part thereof shall be earmarked by said
County Commissioners for specific purposes, all such authority to so
earmark being vested in the County Roads Board. All monies so
