(Senate Bill 284)
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of
Allegany County to appropriate a sum of money to "Friends Aware
of Handicapped Children, Inc.", for the purpose of a survey of
physically-handicapped children in Allegany County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Allegany County be authorized
and empowered to provide, in their levy for the fiscal year beginning
July 1, 1959, an appropriation in an amount not to exceed Two
Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00), to the organization generally known
as "Friends Aware of Handicapped Children, Inc.", for the purpose
of a survey of physically-handicapped children in Allegany County.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby de-
clared to be an emergency law and necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health and safety, and having been passed
by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 326 (g)
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1958 Supple-
ment), title "Revenue and Taxes," sub-title "Retail Sales Tax
Act", sub-heading "In General", relating to the sales tax applic-
able to farm vehicles and farm equipment under the retail sales
tax act, and correcting an error therein.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 326 (g) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1958 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "Re-
tail Sales Tax Act", sub-heading "In General", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
