CHAPTER 334
(House Bill 392)
AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 233 of Article 66½
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Motor
Vehicles", sub-title "Operation of Vehicles Upon Highways", said
new sub-section to be known as sub-section (c) and to follow im-
mediately after sub-section (b) of said Section, requiring and
defining how motorists shall observe "Yield Right-of-Way" signs.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new sub-section be added to Section 233 of Article 66½ of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Motor Ve-
hicles", sub-title "Operation of Vehicles Upon Highways", said new
sub-section to be known as sub-section (c) and to follow immediately
after sub-section (b) of said Section, and to read as follows:
233.
(c) The driver of a vehicle on a street or roadway on which a
"Yield Right-of-Way" sign is erected facing said driver on the ap-
proach to an intersection or merging point with another street or
roadway shall approach with caution and shall yield the right-of-way
to vehicles approaching from the right or left on the other street or
roadway stopping if necessary to yield the right-of-way.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

(House Bill 393)
AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 212 of Article 66½
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Motor
Vehicles", sub title "Operation of Vehicles Upon Highways", said
new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (b) and to follow
immediately after Section 212 of said Article, authorizing the State
Roads Commission to establish minimum speed limits under certain
conditions and providing penalties for the violation thereof.
