Baltimore for that year to obtain for the employees of the Depart-
ment of Public Welfare of Baltimore City the full benefits of the
System operating under the provisions of the Social Security Act.
If the ratio of administrative costs paid from State and Federal
funds varies from time to time to a percentage greater or less
than eighty per centum (80%), the payment by the State of a
proportion of such expenses paid by the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore shall be changed accordingly.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 324
(House Bill 292)
AN ACT to add new Section 11 (b) to Article 63 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Mechanics' Lien", sub-
title "In General", to follow immediately after Section 11 (a)
thereof, relating to notice necessary to be given where owners
of property are husband and wife.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,,
That new Section 11 (b) be and it is hereby added to Article 63 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Mechanics'
Lien", sub-title "In General", to follow immediately after Section
11 (a) thereof, and to read as follows:
11.
(b) For the purposes of notice in this section where property is
owned by husband and wife, either jointly or as tenants by the
entireties, and said husband and wife are not legally separated or
divorced, then said notice above referred to shall be sufficient as to
delivery if received by either husband or wife.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.
