CHAPTER 314
(House Bill 131)

AN ACT to add new Section 593A to the Charter and Public Local
Laws of Baltimore City (1949 Edition, being Article 4 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore City", sub-
title "Special Fund", to follow immediatey after Section 593
thereof, providing for a waiver of retirement compensation, and
relating generally to Policemen's Retirement Compensation in
Baltimore City.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 593A be and the same is hereby added to the
Charter and Public Local Laws of Baltimore City (1949 Edition,
being Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Baltimore City", sub-title "Special Fund", to read as follows:

593A. Any person entitled to retirement compensation pursuant
to the provisions of Sections 559, 591 and 598 of this Article and
any amendments thereof, may decline to accept all or any part of
such retirement compensation by a waiver signed and filed with the
Police Commissioner or his designated agent. Such waiver may be
revoked in writing at any time, but no payment of the retirement
compensation waived shall be made covering the period which such
waiver was in effect.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 315
(House Bill 161)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 12(g)
(3) of Article 95A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edi-
tion), title "Unemployment Insurance Law", under sub-title "Rec-
ords and Reports", relating to the requirement that employers
report the accession of individuals to employment and, upon re-
quest, the reasons for separation of individuals from employment.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 12(g) (3) of Article 95A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Unemployment Insurance Law",
under sub-title "Records and Reports", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted to read as follows:

12. (g) (3) Each employer [shall notify the Executive Direc-
tor of the accession to employment of every individual who comes
