Whereas, This law is now wholly obsolete and should be repealed;
now, therefore,
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 32 to 41, inclusive, of Article 78A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Public Works", sub-title
"Maryland Emergency Housing and Park Commission", be and the
same are hereby repealed.
Sec 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

(House Bill 211)
AN ACT to add new Section 2-106.1 to the Montgomery County
Code (1955 Edition, being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Admin-
istration", to follow immediately after Section 2-106 thoorof
THEREOF, providing for a partial exemption from all County
real estate taxes for certain persons sixty-five years of age or
over living in said County, the extent and measure of said exemp-
tion and relating generally thereto.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 2-106.1 be and the same is hereby added to the
Montgomery County Code (1955 Edition, being Article 16 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Montgomery County",
sub-title "Administration", to follow immediately after Section
2-106 thereof, all to read as follows:
2-106.1. Persons sixty-five years of age. Real property tax ex-
emption.
(a) Every person over the age of 65 years who has been a bona
fide resident of Montgomery County for the preceding five years
and whose total gross income is less than three thousand dollars
($3,000.00) OR LESS per year from all sources, and who has legal
title or beneficial title to real property located in Montgomery County
and who has resided thereon for the preceding five years and makes
such real property his or her permanent home, shall be entitled to
have the sum of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) deducted from
the assesed ASSESSED valuation of said property for the purpose of
County real estate taxes levied against said property by the said
Montgomery County; provided, that if said taxable real estate is
owned by tenants by the entirety, only one such exemption shall be
