"Operation of Vehicles Upon Highways", said new section to follow
immediately after Section 187 thereof, giving to the County Com-
missioners of Prince George's County AND OF HOWARD COUN-
TY certain powers to regulate thru truck traffic within said County
and relating generally to the administration and operation of such
powers.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 66½ of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Motor Vehicles",
sub-title "Operation of Vehicles Upon Highways", said new section
to be known as Section 187A, to follow immediately after Section 187
thereof, and to read as follows:
187A. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Article, the
Board of County Commissioners of Prince George's County AND OF
HOWARD COUNTY is ARE authorized and empowered to regulate
thru truck traffic and in such regulation to prohibit trucks from using
any road, street, lane or alley within Prince George's County AND
WITHIN HOWARD COUNTY, RESPECTIVELY, which is not
within the corporate limits of any incorporated city, town or village
and which has not been designated or maintained as a part of the
State or Federal highway system or an extension thereof. The
Board of County Commissioners of Prince George's County AND
OF HOWARD COUNTY also is ARE authorized and empowered
to provide for the payment of fines for a conviction for violating
any such regulation made by it concerning thru truck traffic; any
and all fines collected pursuant to the provisions of this section shall
be disposed of according to the procedure provided in Section 341
of this Article.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 197 (2),
(4), (5), and (6), and to add new Section 197 (4A) to follow im-
mediately after Section 197 (4) thereof, to Article 48A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Insurance",
sub-title "Life, Accident and Health Insurance", sub-heading "In
General", to change the mortality basis for the computation of
cash values and other non-forfeiture benefits under life insurance
policies issued in this State, and relating generally to insurance.
