Commission until written approval is received from the Department
of Forests and Parks to the effect that such land is appropriate for
and will be developed by said Department as a park or recreational
area.
The State Roads Commission shall not have the right to acquire
such property other than by purchase or gift unless the Commission,
by appropriate resolution, shall determine that such property is
necessary in its judgment for such roadside parks or recreational
areas, such acquisition by condemnation to be in accordance with
the provisions of Article 33A of the Annotated Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws.
(b) All property acquired by the State Roads Commission under
the provisions of this section shall be conveyed by it, at no cost, to
the State of Maryland for the use of the Department of Forests
and Parks. The Department of Forests and Parks shall develop, oper-
ate, control and manage all property acquired by it hereunder as
parks and recreational areas, in accordance with its powers as set
forth in Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Public General Laws.
Nothing herein shall be construed to prevent the Department of
Forests and Parks from developing and using any other property
now owned or which may hereafter be acquired by it for the purposes
set forth in this section.
(c) The State Roads Commission shall have full power and
authority to construct and maintain access roads in, to and from the
areas developed by the Department of Forests and Parks under the
provisions of this section.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 162 (3)
(a) of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Insurance", sub-title "Life, Accident and Health
Insurance", sub-heading "In General", relating to the computation
of reserves on life insurance policies issued in this State, and
relating generally to insurance.
