Office of the Secretary of State of Maryland
To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals of Maryland:
I, Claude B. Hellmann, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 172 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition, DO
HEREBY certify, that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 4, 1958, an Act known as Chapter 671 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of 1957, was submitted to the voters
of Queen Anne's County under the provisions of Chapter 671 of the
Acts of 1957, said Act being as follows:
"An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
19(1), 20(k), 37, 82(b) and 83 (c) of Article 2B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement),
title 'Alcoholic Beverages', sub-titles 'Beer, Wine and Liquor
Licenses', 'Local Licenses and License Provisions', and 'Hours
and Days for Sale'; and to add Section 19(g-l) and 20(h-l)
to said Article, to follow immediately after Sections 19 (g)
and 20 (h) thereof, providing for Class B beer, wine and
liquor license and for Class C beer, wine and liquor license
in Queen Anne's County."
and I DO hereby certify, that at said Election 659 votes were
cast in favor of adoption of Chapter 671 of the Acts of 1957 and
337 votes were cast against the adoption of said Chapter 671 of the
Acts of 1957, the said Act has been ratified by the voters of Queen
Anne's County.
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my official seal at the City of
Annapolis, this 26th day of November, 1958.
