1520                       Certificates of Referenda

1937, Ch. 448—Cottage City, Prince George's County
Office of the Secretary of State of Maryland

To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals of Maryland:

I, Claude B. Hellmann, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 210 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition) DO
hereby certify, That at a Special Election held in Cottage City,
Prince George's County, Maryland, on June 4, 1937, an Act known
as Chapter 448 of the Acts of 1937, was submitted to the voters of
Cottage City, Prince George's County, Maryland, for their adoption
or rejection under the provision of Chapter 448 of the Acts of 1937,
said Act being as follows:

"That there is hereby annexed to the territory of the town of
Cottage City all the adjacent and contiguous territory in
Prince George's County as follows:

Beginning for the same at the easterly right-of-way of the
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad where it intersects Bunker Hill
Road (said place of beginning also being the point where the
easterly line of Central Avenue, if extended, would intersect
the said easterly right-of-way of the Baltimore and Ohio Rail-
road), thence running along the easterly right of way of the
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad in a northerly direction to the
westerly line of the northwest branch in a southeasterly direc-
tion to the Washington-Baltimore Boulevard, thence running
southerly along the center line of the Washington-Baltimore
Boulevard to Bladensburg Avenue (formerly known as Bunker
Hill Road), thence along the easterly line of Bladensburg Ave-
nue, to the point of beginning."

and I DO certify, that at said election held in Cottage City,
Prince George's County, Maryland, 55 votes were cast in favor of
the adoption of Chapter 448 of the Act and one vote was cast against
the adoption of said Chapter 448 of the Acts of 1937, and a majority
of the votes being cast in favor of the adoption of said Chapter 448
of the Acts of 1937 the same has been ratified by the voters of Prince
George's County in Cottage City.

In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my official seal at the City of
Annapolis, this 14th day of May, 1958.
