County", sub-title "Court Stenographer", and to enact a new
Section 29 in lieu thereof, to stand in the place and stead of the
sections so repealed, relating to the employment and compensation
of the Court Stenographer of Carroll County and relating gener-
ally to the Circuit Court of Carroll County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 29 and 30 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-title
"Court Stenographer", be and they are hereby repealed, and that a
new Section 29 be and the same is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to
stand in the place and stead of the sections so repealed, and to read
as follows:

29. The Circuit Court for Carroll County shall appoint a com-
petent Court Reporter, who shall be a sworn officer of said Court,
shall hold his or her office at said Court's pleasure, and shall be
entitled to such salary or per diem as said Court shall, from time to
time, prescribe, to be levied annually by the County Commissioners
of Carroll County, and paid monthly as the other county employees
are paid. Said Court may, also, from time to time, whenever, in its
opinion, the same is expedient, appoint Special Court Reporters and
prescribe their duties and compensation; and the compensation so
prescribed shall be paid by said County Commissioners of Carroll
County upon the presentation of the certificate of the Clerk, approved
by any Judge of said Court, showing the attendance and services of
said Court Reporter.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to add new Section 467 (g) to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Harford County (1957 Edition, being Article 13 of the
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County", sub-title
"Taxes and County Treasurer", to follow immediately after Section
467 (f) thereof, relating to the preparation of the annual budget
of Harford County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 467 (g) be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Harford County (1957 Edition, being Article
13 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County",
