Maryland), title "Prince George's County", sub-titles "Maryland-
Washington Metropolitan District" and "Maryland-Washington
Regional District"; and to repeal Chapter 448 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1927, Chapter 714 of the Acts of 1939, Chap-
ter 992 of the Acts of 1943, and Chapter 1008 of the Acts of 1943;
and to repeal all Acts and parts of Acts amending or supplement-
ing the designated Sections of the said Montgomery and Prince
George's County Codes and of the said laws enacted by the Gen-
eral Assembly; and to enact in lieu thereof a new sub-title "Park
and Planning Commission", containing the sub-headings "Com-
mission", "Metropolitan District", and "Regional District", to be
added to the said Montgomery and Prince George's County Codes
and to be codified in each code, recodifying the laws concerning
the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission,
the Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District and the Mary-
land-Washington Regional District, and relating generally to the
membership, powers, duties and operations of the Maryland-
National Capital Park and Planning Commission, and to the
powers, duties and operations of the Mary land-Washington Metro-
politan District and of the Maryland-Washington Regional District.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland.
That Chapters 72 and 73 of the Montgomery County Code—1955 (be-
ing Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Montgomery County", sub-titles "Maryland-Washington Metro-
politan District" and "Maryland-Washington Regional District", be
and they are hereby repealed; and that Sections 1072 to 1137, in-
clusive, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County
(1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Prince George's County", sub-titles "Maryland-
Washington Metropolitan District" and "Maryland-Washington Re-
gional District", be and they are hereby repealed; and that Chapter
448 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1927, Chapter 714 of
the Acts of 1939, Chapter 992 of the Acts of 1943, and Chapter 1008
of the Acts of 1943 be and they are hereby repealed; and that all
Acts and parts of Acts amending or supplementing the designated
Sections of the said Montgomery and Prince George's County Codes
and of the said laws enacted by the General Assembly, be and they
are hereby repealed; and that a new sub-title "Park and Planning
Commission", containing the sub-headings "Commission", "Metro-
politan District", and "Regional District", be and it is hereby added
to the said Montgomery and Prince George's County Codes, to be
codified in each code and to read as follows:

(a) Continued.—The Maryland-National Capital Park and Plan-
ning Commission is continued as a body corporate, to have and exer-
cise the powers, duties, and functions provided in this Article. It is
