occurs. The annual salaries of the county assessors and all other ex-
penses incident to local assessment shall be levied for and paid by
the several boards of county commissioners and county councils.
After July 1, 1961, all assessors (by whatever title designated) shall
hold their positions only until they have attained the age of seventy
years and no longer. AFTER JULY 1, 1961, ASSESSORS (BY
WHATEVER TITLE DESIGNATED) SHALL NOT HOLD THEIR
POSITIONS AFTER THEY HAVE ATTAINED THE AGE OF
SEVENTY YEARS.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1959.

(House Bill 475)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 175 (e)
(1) (ii) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Appeals", pro-
viding in certain circumstances IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUN-
TY for a court remand of an appeal to the license commissioner
BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS for the taking of
additional testimony and allowing the license commissioner
BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS to modify or reverse
their decision in light of the additional testimony.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 175 (e) (1) (ii) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title
"Appeals", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

(ii) In Prince George's County notwithstanding any other pro-
vision of this article, but in addition thereto, if, before the date set
for hearing, written application by petition to show cause is made
to the court for leave to present additional evidence on the issues in
the case, either by the party appealing or any party in interest prop-
erly before the court;, and it is shown to the satisfaction of the court
after a hearing thereon that the additional evidence is material and
that there were good reasons for failure to present it in the pro-
ceeding before the Board of License Commissioners, the Court shall
order that the additional evidence be taken before the Board of License
Commissioners upon such conditions as the court deems proper; and
