licenses when a person whose name appears on such license becomes
ineligible, provided a new application for the same class of license
is properly filed with said Board within ten (10) days of the date on
which such person becomes ineligible.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 700
(House Bill 758)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 40(p) (3)
of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact", relating to the
salary of the special investigator of the State's Attorney's office
of Cecil County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 40(p) (3) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

(3) The State's Attorney of Cecil County is authorized to appoint
a special investigator at an annual salary of [$3,600] $4,000. The
special investigator shall be directly under the supervision of the
State's Attorney and shall have all the powers of a deputy sheriff in
Cecil County. Whenever the State's Attorney permits, by reason of
lack of work for the special investigator, the special investigator
shall assist the Circuit Court of Cecil County in the capacity of parole
and probation officer.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.
