issued hereunder shall become mutilated or be destroyed or lost,
the County may by appropriate resolution provide for the replace-
ment of any such bonds or coupons upon such conditions and after
receiving such indemnity as the County may think it proper and
necessary to stipulate and require.

Sec. 8. And be it further enacted, That any and all bonds issued
pursuant to the authority of this Act, the interest payable thereon
and the income derived therefrom in the hands of the holders thereof
from time to time, shall be and are hereby declared, to be exempt
from State, county and municipal taxation of every kind and nature
whatsoever in the State of Maryland.

Sec. 9. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1959 .

AN ACT to repeal Section 182 of Article 12 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Garrett County",
sub-title "Fire Departments", said section having been last
amended by Chapter 62 of the Acts of 1957, and to enact a new
Section 182 in lieu thereof to stand in the place of the section so
repealed, providing a schedule of payments to be made by the
Board of County Commissioners of Garrett County to the various
Volunteer Fire Departments.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 182 of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Garrett County", sub-title "Fire
Departments", said Section having been last amended by Chapter
62 of the Acts of 1957, be and it is hereby repealed; and that a new
Section 182 be and it is hereby enacted, to stand in the place of the
section so repealed, and to read as follows:

182.

(a) The Board of County Commissioners of Garrett County is
authorized and directed to levy annually a tax of five cents per
hundred dollars on the assessable property basis in Garrett County,
and said levy is to be paid to the Volunteer Fire Departments exist-
ing now or organized in the future. The amounts paid to any Volun-
teer Fire Department shall be determined jointly by ONE REPRE-
SENTATIVE OF EACH OF said Volunteer Fire Departments and
the County Commissioners.
