CHAPTER 665

(House Bill 596)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section 6 (a)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Manufacturer's and Whole-
saler's Licenses", relating generally to the annual fees to be charged
on the issuance of licenses to wholesalers of beer, wine and liquor.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section 6 (a) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Manu-
facturer's and Wholesaler's Licenses", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

6. (a) Classes; fees.—The following classes of wholesaler's licenses
shall be issued at the designated annual fees:

Class 1 Beer, wine and liquor ....................Annual fee—$1,500.00

Class 2 Wine and Liquor ............................Annual fee— 1,250.00

Class 3 Beer and Wine ................................Annual fee— 1,000.00

Class 4 Beer ....................................................Annual fee— 750.00

[The payment of an additional fee of $200.00 shall entitle a Class 1,
Class 3, or Class 4 wholesale licensee to another location for the ware-
housing, sale and delivery of beer.]

Upon approval of application:

A Class 1 wholesale licensee shall be entitled to use additional loca~
tions for the warehousing, sale and delivery of beer, wine and liquor
upon the payment of an additional fee of $1,500,00 for each additional
location, A Class 2 wholesale licensee shall be entitled to use addi-
tional locations for the warehousing, sale and delivery of wine and
liquor upon the payment of an additional fee of $1,250,00 for each
additional location. A Class 3 wholesale licensee shall be entitled to
use additional locations for the warehousing, sale and delivery of
beer and wine upon the payment of an additional fee of $1,000.00 for
each additional location. A Class 4 wholesale licensee shall be entitled
to use additional locations for the warehousing, sale and delivery of
beer upon the payment of an additional fee of $750.00
$200.00 for
each additional location. Two locations under one license shall not
be located in any one county or in Baltimore City.

Class 5 Limited beer with import privilege.
Class 6 Limited beer without import privilege.

The annual fee for a limited beer wholesaler's license shall be
based upon U. S. population census as follows:

In counties of not more than 18,000 population....................$125.00

In counties of more than 18,000 population but not more

than 35,000 population ........................................................ 175.00
