100                              Laws of Maryland                        [Ch. 92

Whereas, Sections 30 and 31 of this sub-title were amended by
Chapter 70 of the Acts of 1935 and then repealed by Chapter 385 of
the Acts of 1945; and

Whereas, In the process, Section 32 of the sub-title "Deeds" was
allowed to remain on the statute books despite the fact that it is
entirely meaningless alone; and

Whereas, The subject matter now is covered in Section 10 of
Article 21 of the 1957 Edition of the Annotated Code of Maryland;
now, therefore

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 32 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County", sub-title "Deeds",
and said sub-title, be and they are hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

Approved March 3, 1959.

CHAPTER 92
(Senate Bill 65)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 206 of
Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Wicomico County", sub-title "Revenue and Taxes",
sub-heading "County Treasurer", as said section was amended by
Chapter 678 of the Acts of 1943, removing from the laws of
Wicomico County relating to the mailing of tax bills, an obsolete
provision concerning tax bills for taxes levied and assessed against
motor vehicles.

Whereas, In Section 206 of the Local Laws of Wicomico County
as last amended by Chapter 678 of the Acts of 1943 there is a
directive that the treasurer of Wicomico County shall mail out bills
for taxes levied and assessed against motor vehicles; and

Whereas, Subsequent State-wide law has eliminated personal
property taxes on motor vehicles, substituting an excise tax which
is collected by the Department of Motor Vehicles and returned to the
political sub-divisions; and

Whereas, This obsolete and incorrect reference in the Local Laws
to the taxation of motor vehicles should be eliminated; now, therefore

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
