A fee of [thirty-five] fifty dollars shall be paid to the secretary-
treasurer of the Board before such examination is had, which pay-
ment shall entitle said applicant to a second examination, in case of
failure, at the expiration of six months and within twelve months
thereafter.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1960.

CHAPTER 107
(Senate Bill 107)
AN ACT to add new Section 51 (ee) to Article 66^ of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title
"Administration—Registration—Titling", to follow immediately
after Section 51 (c) thereof, relating to permitting the continued
operation of a motor vehicle by the widow SPOUSE of a deceased
person to whom the said vehicle was previously registered.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 51 (cc) be and it is hereby added to Article 66 1/2
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Motor
Vehicles", sub-title "Administration—Registration—Titling", said
new section to follow immediately after Section 51 (e) thereof, and
to read as follows:

(cc) Whenever the title or interest of an owner in or to a regis-
tered vehicle shall pass to MB widow THE SPOUSE OF THE
DECEASED as a result of testamentary disposition of OR intestate
devolution, said widow, SURVIVOR, during the course of the admin-
istration of the estate of her husband, shall be entitled to operate
such vehicle upon the highways of the State UNTIL THE EXPIRA-
TION OF THE CURRENT ANNUAL REGISTRATION IN THE
NAME OF THE DECEASED SPOUSE, without the necessity of
applying for or obtaining the registration and certificate of title
required by law.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1960.
