Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Operation of Ve-
hicles upon Highways", to require the operator of streetcar or
trackless trolley which has collided with any unattended vehicle
or which is involved in an accident resulting only in damage to
fixtures, to make reasonable effort to locate owner thereof or leave
name and address in a conspicuous place and to make report of
accident, and matters generally related thereto.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 202 and 203 of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1959 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title
"Operation of Vehicles upon Highways" be and the same are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

202. Duty upon striking unattended vehicle.

The driver of any vehicle, streetcar or trackless trolley which col-
lides with any vehicle which is unattended shall immediately stop
and shall then and there either locate and notify the operator or
owner of such vehicle of the name and address of the driver and
owner of the vehicle striking the unattended vehicle or shall leave
in a conspicuous place in the vehicle struck a written notice giving
the name and address of the driver and of the owner of the vehicle
doing the striking as required in Section 120, as amended from time
to time.

203. Duty upon striking fixtures upon a highway.

The driver of any vehicle, streetcar or trackless trolley involved
in an accident resulting only in damage to fixtures legally upon or
adjacent to a highway shall take reasonable steps to locate and notify
the owner or person in charge of such property of such fact and of
his name and address and of the registration number of the vehicle
he is driving and shall upon request exhibit his operator's or chauf-
feur's license and shall make report of such accident when and as
required in Section 120, as amended from time to time.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1960.
