Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That no passenger motor ve-
hicle to be used by a State officer or employee, other than an elected
official OR THE COMMISSIONER OF MOTOR VEHICLES, shall
be purchased with funds appropriated by this act, the net cost of
which inclusive of trade-in-allowance, shall exceed $2,200.
SEC. 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT CON-
TINGENT UPON THE ENACTMENT OF SENATE BILL NO.
170 AND SUBJECT ONLY TO THE EXCEPTION THEREIN
FOR ACUTE EMERGENCIES, ALL PAYMENTS MADE FOR
PERSONAL SERVICES FROM APPROPRIATIONS CONTAINED
HEREIN SHALL BE BASED ON STANDARD SALARY SCALES,
FACULTY SCALES, FLAT RATE SALARIES, PER DIEM RATES
AND AMOUNTS FOR TECHNICAL AND SPECIAL FEES AP-
PROVED AS OF JUNE 30, 1957.
