CHAPTER 431
(Senate Bill 60)
AN ACT to repeal Sub-section (g) of Section 539 of the Charter
and Public Local Laws of Baltimore City (1949 Edition), being
Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland as
amended by Chapter 692 of the Acts of 1953, title "Baltimore
City", sub-title "Police Commissioner", sub-heading "Appointment
and Promotion", said sub-section which provides for the physical
examination of all members of the Police Force not less than once
every three years.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section (g) of Section 539 of the Charter and Public Local
Laws of Baltimore City (1949 Edition), being Article 4 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland as amended by Chapter 692 of
the Acts of 1953, title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Police Commis-
sioner'', sub-heading "Appointment and Promotion", be and it is
hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 432
(Senate Bill 155)
AN ACT to repeal Section 322 (t) of Article 81 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes",
sub-title "General Provisions", sub-heading "Retail Sales Tax
Act", and to enact a new Section 322 (t) in lieu thereof, to stand
in the place and stead of the section so repealed, relating to the
exemption from the sales tax for the custom cutting or sawing of
certain timber.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

land (1956 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes," sub-title
