Three Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($1,320,000.00), and
whereas, it is anticipated that the said contemplated improvements
will be made during the fiscal years 1957-58, 1958-59 and 1959-60,
and that during said years, there will be available from the School
Incentive Fund, for such purposes, the sum of One Hundred Eighty
Thousand Dollars ($180,000.00) per year, for the years 1957-58,
and 1958-59, and the sum of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00)
for the year 1959-60, thereby reducing to Nine Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($900,000.00), the amount required in additional funds to
construct the projects hereinafter mentioned, and provided further,
that said available Incentive Fund monies are devoted to said pro-
jects.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
that for the purpose of; (1) constructing an additional building
consisting of seven (7) classrooms with necessary sanitary facilities
and auxiliary rooms at the Salisbury High School, located on Jersey
Road, near Salisbury, Maryland, and constructing an addition to
the building and alterations therein at the Salisbury Elementary
School, located on Lake Street, Salisbury, Maryland, at a cost not
to exceed Two Hundred Eighty-one Thousand Dollars ($281,000.00),
including costs of construction, architect fees, equipment, supervi-
sion and alterations to or remodeling of the present building at the
Salisbury Elementary School so as to tie in new construction with
said building; (2) constructing an addition to the Mardela School
at Mardela, Maryland, said addition to include a commercial room,
science laboratory, a class room, a combined agriculture and shop
classroom, lavatories, women teachers' room, men teachers' room,
cafeteria and kitchen and other auxiliary rooms and/or any part
thereof that can be constructed at a cost not to exceed Two Hundred
Fifty-six Thousand Dollars ($256,000.00), including costs of con-
struction, architect fees, equipment, supervision and alterations for
remodeling of the present building so as to tie in said new construc-
tion with said building; (3) constructing an eight-room, completely
new elementary school approximately three miles East of the pres-
ent East Salisbury Elementary School on the Southerly side of U. S.
Route 50 on land now owned by the Board of Education, said school to
include eight (8) classrooms, a general purpose room, library, teach-
ers' rooms, infirmary, office, kitchen, lavatories, and other auxiliary
rooms and/or any part thereof that can be constructed at a cost not
to exceed Three Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Dollars ($323,-
000.00) including cost of construction, architect fees, equipment and
supervision; (4) constructing a gymnasium with two (2) practice
floors that can be converted into one Junior High standard size play-
ing floor with adequate showers and lockers and sufficient bleachers
to accommodate at least five hundred (500) spectators at the Wi-
comico Junior High School, located on East Main Street, at Salis-
bury, Maryland, at a cost not to exceed Two Hundred Sixty-one
Thousand Dollars ($261,000.00), including cost of construction,
architect fees, equipment and supervision; and (5) constructing a
third story on the addition now under construction at the Wicomico
Junior High School, located as aforesaid, at a cost not to exceed One
Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($135,000.00), including cost
of construction, architect fees, equipment and supervision for said
addition and alterations to or remodeling of the present building,
so as to tie in said new construction with said building; and (6) pro-
viding a Contingency Fund of Fifty-five Thousand Dollars ($55,-
