propriation against which drawn, and reference to the page of the
Journal of the Board, wherein is the entry of order for such war-
rant; and no warrant shall at any time be issued, except after all
the aforesaid shall have been done.
(c) He shall further keep and carefully preserve all books and
papers in the office of said County Commissioners; and shall on any
secular day, not a legal holiday, between the hours of 9 o'clock A.M.
and 4 o'clock P.M. at the request of any citizen or taxpayer of said
county exhibit the same to such person, and make and certify copies
or extracts therefrom, without charge. He shall give bond in the
penalty of ten thousand dollars for the faithful performance of his
duties, to be secured by a bonding company, the premium on said
bond to be paid by the County Commissioners, and to be approved by
the said Commissioners and he shall qualify under the State Consti-
tution. He shall countersign all checks issued by the County Treasur-
er in payment of warrant for bills against Dorchester County; and
shall examine each monthly, quarterly and annual reports made by
the County Treasurer, and certify to the correctness of all such re-
ports as soon as practical thereafter.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 20 of
Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supple-
ment), title "County Commissioners", sub-title "General Provi-
sions", relieving the Sheriff of Washington County from the duty
of posting copies of county expenses at the polling places prior to
elections.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 20 of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1956 Supplement), title "County Commissioners", sub-title "Gener-
al Provisions", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
20. Annual publication of county expenses.
They shall make out and publish annually in at least two news-
papers published in their respective counties if there be two, a de-
tailed, minute and accurate statement of the expenses of their said
counties, specifying therein each particular item of expense, and for
what and to whom paid, and shall also deliver to the sheriff of their
respective counties as many copies of such statement as there are
