removing therefrom an incorrect reference to the annual fee for
registration to practice veterinary medicine.
Whereas, By Chapter 33 of the Acts of 1955 the General Assembly
amended Section 153 of Article 43 of the Code for the purpose,
among others, of providing an annual registration fee in the amount
of ten dollars ($10.00) for the privilege of continuing the practice
of veterinary medicine; and
Whereas, In Section 152 of this Article there still remains a
reference to the old fee of five dollars ($5.00), which is now in-
correct and should be removed; now therefore
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 152 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Health", sub-title "State Board of Veterinary
Examiners", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
152. It shall be the duty of the Board: (a) to register annually
all persons licensed under this sub-title to practice veterinary medi-
cine who have offices in the State [, the annual fee for such regis-
tration to be five dollars];
(b) to enforce the provisions of this sub-title and aid in the
prosecution of all such violations.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 409
(Senate Bill 449)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 6 (b)
of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supple-
ment) , title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title "Civil Jurisdiction",
and to add new Section 6 (k) to Article 52 of said Code (1956
Supplement), said new section to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 6 (j) thereof, providing that the monetary jurisdiction of
the Trial Magistrates in Kent County shall be $400.00.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6 (b) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1956 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title
"Civil Jurisdiction", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments; and new Section 6 (k) be and it is here-
