CHAPTER 386
(Senate Bill 217)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 123 to 133, inclusive, of Article 48 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Inspections",
sub-title "Feed Stuffs", and to enact new Sections 123-133A in lieu
thereof to stand in the place of the sections so repealed, revising
the laws concerning the sale and distribution of commercial feed
stuffs in the State of Maryland and relating generally to such sale
and distribution.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 123 to 133, inclusive, of Article 48 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Inspections", sub-title
"Feed Stuffs", be and they are hereby repealed and new Sections
123-133A be and they are hereby enacted in lieu thereof to stand in
the place of the sections so repealed, the new sections to read as
follows:

123. Title.

This Sub-title shall be known as the "Maryland Commercial Feed
Law of 1958".

124. Enforcing Official.

This Sub-title shall be administered by the State Chemist as ap-
pointed by the State Board of Agriculture hereinafter referred to as
the "State Chemist".

125. Definitions of Words and Terms.
When used in this Sub-title.

a.  The term "person" includes individual, partnership, corporation
and association.

b.  The term "distribute" means to exchange, offer for sale, sell,
barter, or otherwise to supply commercial feeds as part of a com-
mercial enterprise. The term "distributor" means any person who
distributes.

c.  The term "commercial feed" means all materials which are dis-
tributed for use as feed for animals other than man except:

1. Unmixed whole seeds and meals made directly from the entire
seeds.
