after the last publication of said order as aforesaid, an appeal to the
County Commissioners of Cecil County, who shall review the Com-
mission's decision and decide as to the necessity and propriety of
the improvement contemplated and whether the district can stand
the cost of the same; and the decision of the County Commissioners
shall be final.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

(House Bill 675)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section 126
(c) of Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Frederick County," sub-title "County Com-
missioners," sub-heading "Roads," as last amended by Chapter 644
of the Acts of 1951, relating to the salary of the County Roads
Engineer and the Assistant Roads Engineer in Frederick County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section 126 (c) of Article 11 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick County," sub-title
"County Commissioners," sub-heading "Roads," as last amended by
Chapter 644 of the Acts of 1951, be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
126.
(c) The County Commissioners shall fix the salaries of the Roads
Engineer, the Assistant Roads Engineer and any other assistants,
but in no case shall the salary of the Roads Engineer be less than
[that received by a Senior Assistant Highway Engineer, Grade I,
having five (5) years experience, employed under the State Roads
Commission] Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500), and
in no case shall the salary of the Assistant Roads Engineer be less
than [that received by a Senior Assistant Highway Engineer, Grade
II, employed under the State Roads Commission] Six Thousand
Dollars ($6,000). In addition to the salary provided, the County
Roads Engineer shall receive either (1) an allowance for automobile
expenses not to exceed Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00) per year to
be determined and approved by the County Commissioners, or (2)
the use of an automobile to be furnished and maintained by the
County Commissioners, whichever the Commissioners shall decide.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
