legal voters of Baltimore City shall provide for the expenditure of
the proceeds thereof in accordance with the provisions of the Charter
of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, and by the municipal
agency designated in the annual Ordinances of Estimates of the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore.
Sec. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 270
(House Bill 421)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 663B (b)
of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supple-
ment), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Oysters and Clams"
adding Charles County to the counties wherein the use of hydraulic
or mechanical dredges is prohibited in dredging soft shell clams
(mya arenaria).
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 663B (b) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Natural Resources", sub-title
"Oysters and Clams", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
663B.
(b) Somerset, Kent, Charles and St. Mary's counties.—It shall be
unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to take, catch or dredge
soft shell clams (mya arenaria) from any county waters of Somerset,
Kent, Charles and St. Mary's counties by the use of any hydraulic
or mechanical dredges. Any such person, firm or corporation so
doing shall, upon conviction thereof before any justice of the peace,
be fined $500.00 and costs.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
