CHAPTER 194
(House Bill 471)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 301 of
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title
"Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Trespass", prohibiting hunt-
ing upon private property without permission in Frederick County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 301 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Tres-
pass", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
301. Any person who shall hunt with a gun any wild game birds
or wild game animals upon private property without first obtaining
the permission of the landowner or his agent shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be liable to a fine
of not more than One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars; however, the pro-
visions of this [Act] Section shall apply only to Montgomery
[County] and Frederick counties.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1957.

AN ACT to add fifteen new sections to Article 23 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement), title
"Corporations", sub-title "Religious Corporations", said new sec-
tions to be known as Sections 288A to 288-0, inclusive, to be
under the new sub-heading "Protestant Episcopal Church—Diocese
of Easton", and to follow immediately after Section 288 of said
Article and prior to the present Section 288A, to include in said
Article much of the substance of the provisions of Chapter 24
of the Acts of 1798, known as the Vestry Act, and the amendments
thereof, and to amend said Chapter 24 of the Acts of 1798 and
the amendments to said Act to the extent that said Chapter 24
of the Acts of 1798 and said amendments thereto shall hereafter
be inapplicable to the Parishes of the Protestant Episcopal Church
of the Diocese of Easton within the nine Eastern Shore Counties
of Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne's, Caroline, Talbot, Dorchester, Wicom-
ico, Somerset and Worcester; and relating generally to the organ-
ization, administration and control of the Protestant Episcopal
Church in the said Diocese and counties.
