moving a duplication of language in order to clarify the provisions
of said section.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 12 (a) (43) of Article 36 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Fees of Officers", sub-title "Clerks
of Court", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
12.
(a)
(43) For any services rendered by the Clerk of any Court of this
State not covered or enumerated herein, the said Clerk shall be en-
titled to demand and receive a reasonable fee for said services. If
any party to any proceeding shall feel aggrieved at any charge made
under the preceding clause of this section, such party may submit
the reasonableness of any such charge to the Judge of the Court in
which said charge was made, and the said Judge of the Court [in
which said charge was made, and the said Judge, as aforesaid,] shall
determine what is a reasonable charge for such service.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 17
(House Bill 47)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 29 of
Article 30 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title
"Deaf, Dumb, and Blind", sub-title "Public Assistance to the Needy
Blind", changing an incorrect cross reference therein contained.
Whereas, In Chapter 145 of the Acts of the Special Session of
1936, there was enacted what is now Section 29 of Article 30 of the
1951 Code; and
Whereas, A cross reference contained in the Act of 1936 was in
error and should be corrected; and
Whereas, Although such a correction actually was made by edi-
torial action in the 1951 Code, there may be some doubt as to the
validity of this correction unless and until it is made by legislative
action; now, therefore
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 29 of Article 30 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
