Bailiffs in Frederick County shall each receive fifty dollars
($50.00) per month.

Bailiffs in Dorchester County shall each receive seven dollars and
fifty cents ($7.50) per day.

Bailiffs in Charles County shall receive an amount per day to be
determined by the county commissioners and approved by the circuit
court of Charles County, not to exceed, however, the amount paid to
Jurors.

(b) Every court crier attending the Circuit Courts in the counties
in this State shall be entitled to the compensation hereinafter pre-
scribed for each day he shall attend said court, except as otherwise
herein provided.

(1)   [Criers in Charles County shall each receive Four Dollars
($4.00) per day.] Criers and messengers in Charles County shall re-
ceive an amount per day to be determined by the County Commis-
sioners and approved by the Circuit Court of Charles County, not to
exceed, the amount paid to jurors.

(2)   Criers in Allegany, Caroline, Howard, Kent, Prince George's,
Washington and Worcester counties shall each receive five dollars
($5.00) per day.

(3)   Criers in Anne Arundel County shall each receive Seventy-
five Dollars ($75.00) per month.

(4)   Criers in Baltimore and Frederick Counties shall each receive
such compensation as the court of said counties shall determine.

(5)   Criers in Calvert County shall each receive One Hundred and
Twenty-five Dollars ($125.00) per year.

(6)   Criers in St. Mary's County shall each receive Six Dollars
($6.00) per day.

(7)   Criers in Carroll, Cecil, Montgomery, Talbot and Wicomico
Counties shall each receive such compensation as the County Com-
missioners of said counties shall determine.

(8)   Criers in Garrett and Somerset Counties shall each receive
such compensation as the County Commissioners shall prescribe,
but not exceeding Five Dollars ($5.00) per day.

(9)   Criers in Queen Anne's County shall each receive Ten Dollars
($10.00) per day.

(9-1) Criers in Dorchester County shall each receive seven dollars
and fifty cents ($7.50) per day.

(10.) The several bailiffs and criers shall perform such duties as
may be prescribed by the several laws of the State and by the local
laws of their respective counties.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
