twenty-five years or who is over seventy years of age, Judges of the
Orphans' Court of said County, delegates, coroners and constables
during their continuance in office; and also school masters, physi-
cians, pharmacists and ministers of the Gospel shall be exempt from
attendance as jurors; and of the names of such persons, when so
selected, a list shall be made of each panel and a certificate thereto
appended by the said Judge that the said lists of names have been
duly selected in conformity with and according to the spirit and'
intent of this Article, and which said lists and certificates shall be
filed with the Clerk of the said Court and by him preserved as other
proceedings of said Court are kept; and no property qualification
shall be required of any juror drawn as herein provided.
187. In the selection of a panel to consist of two hundred (200)
[male] persons as provided for in Section 186, and to be known as
the petit jury panel, the total of two hundred names shall be selected
from the fifteen election districts of said county in the following
proportions: Twenty names from District No. 1, ten names from
District No. 2, ten names from District No. 3, ten names from Dis-
trict No. 4, ten names from District No. 5, ten names from District
No. 6, ten names from District No. 7, thirteen names from District
No. 8, twenty names from District No. 9, ten names from District
No. 10, twelve names from District No. 11, fifteen names from Dis-
trict No. 12, fifteen names from District No. 13, fifteen names from
District No. 14, twenty names from District No. 15. If as provided
for in Section 186, the Jury Judge deems a greater number than two
hundred (200) is necessary for any term of Court, the additional
jurors shall be chosen from the fifteen election districts, as near as
possible, in the same ratio as this section provides for the first two
hundred (200).
188. In the selection of a panel to consist of one hundred (100)
[male] persons as provided for in Section 186 and to be known as
the Grand Jury Panel, the total of one hundred names shall be
selected from the fifteen districts of said County in the following
proportions: eight names from District No. 1, seven names from
District No. 2, six names from District No. 3, six names from Dis-
trict No. 4, six names from District No. 5, six names from District
No. 6, six names from District No. 7, seven names from District No.
8, eight names from District No. 9, six names from District No. 10,
six names from District No. 11, seven names from District No. 12,
seven names from District No. 13, seven names from District No. 14,
and seven names from District No. 15.
189. When said list of names selected as directed in the pre-
ceding sections as the Petit Jury Panel is made and certified as
therein provided, immediately thereupon the said Judge of said
Court, in the presence of the members of the Bar as aforesaid, and
such other persons as may think proper to be present, shall cause
all of the names selected and placed in the list as aforesaid, to be
legibly written upon ballots, which shall be of equal size and of the
same color and appearance, and shall be closely rolled or folded
and placed by said Judge with his own hands before the drawings
herein provided for, in a box of sufficient size, to be marked Petit
Jury Box, the said box being divided into fifteen (15) compartments,
which shall be numbered to correspond with the districts of said
County, with a sliding top therein to be procured for that purpose
by the Clerk of said Court under the direction of said Judge, and
