188                              Laws of Maryland                       [Ch. 150

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 180A and 180B be and they are hereby added to
the Harford County Code (1942 Edition), being Article 13 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County",
sub-title "Clerk of Court", said new sections to follow immediately
after Section 180 thereof, and to read as follows:

180A. The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Harford County shall
keep a full and complete general alphabetical index in a book or
books well-bound for that purpose, of all deeds, mortgages, bills of
sale, short assignments of mortgages, and other conveyances of
record in their respective offices, which index shall be both in the
names of each and all the grantors, bargainers, donors, mortgagors
or assignors, and each and all of the grantees, bargainees, donees,
mortgagees or assignees, and shall refer to the book and page of the
record of the several conveyances designating the same. The said
clerk shall also make a similar full and complete general alphabetical
index of all chattel records in a well-bound book or books, which
index shall be in the names of each and all grantors and each and
all grantees. Indexes for each volume of the land and chattel records
may be eliminated in the discretion of the Clerk.

180B. Any person, firm or corporation offering for recordation
in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court for Harford County any
deed, mortgage, lease, agreement, conditional sales contract, or any
other recordable instrument, shall cause to be typed or printed
thereon the name and mailing address of the person, firm or corpo-
ration to whom or to which such instrument is to be mailed after
recordation. The Clerk shall, in addition to the fee or charge now
allowed by law, charge One Dollar as an extra fee or charge for
failure to comply with the requirement of this section.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

(Senate Bill 294)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 104 of
Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement),
title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title "Trial Magistrates System",
providing an increase in the compensation of the Clerk of the Trial
Magistrate of Kent County and providing for laws for THE
HOURS OF said clerk.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 104 of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
