To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, Blanchard Randall, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 210 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition) DO
hereby certify, That at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 6, 1956, an Act known as Chapter 613 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1955, was submitted
to the voters of Garrett County, Maryland, for their adoption or re-
jection under the provisions of Chapter 613 of the Acts of 1955, said
Act being as follows:
"An Act extending the provisions of the so-called County Dis-
pensary law to Garrett County, and relating generally to the
sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages by a County Dis-
pensary in Garrett County."
and I do certify, that at said election 2,533 votes were cast in
favor of the adoption of Chapter 613 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1955, and 4,281 votes were cast against the adoption of
said Chapter 613, and a majority of the votes being cast against the
adoption of Chapter 613 of the Acts of 1955, the said Act has there-
fore failed of ratification.
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my
