urer of Worcester County to $3,000.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-sections (e) and (i) of Section 47 of Article 25 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "County Commis-
sioners", sub-title "County Treasurers", be and the same are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
(e) Kent County [and Worcester counties].—The county treasurer
of Kent [and Worcester Counties] County shall [each] receive an
annual salary of $2,400.00.
(i) Caroline, Queen Anne's, Talbot, Worcester, and Wicomico
counties. The county treasurers of Caroline, Queen Anne's, Talbot,
Worcester and Wicomico counties shall each receive an annual salary
of $3,000.00.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-sections (a)
and (b) of Section 11 of Article 36 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1956 Supplement), title "Fees of Officers", sub-title "Bailiffs
and Criers"; relating to salaries of bailiffs and criers in Caroline,
County KENT AND QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTIES.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-sections (a) and (b) of Section 11 of Article 36 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Fees of
Officers", sub-title "Bailiffs and Criers", be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments; to read as follows:
11. Compensation.
(a) Bailiffs.—Every bailiff attending the circuits courts in the
counties in this State shall be entitled to the compensation herein-
after prescribed for each day he shall attend said court, except as
otherwise herein provided.
Bailiffs in Charles and St. Mary's counties shall each receive four
dollars ($4.00) per day.
Bailiffs in Allegany, [Caroline,] Cecil, Howard, Kent Prince
George's, Washington and Worcester counties shall each receive five
dollars ($5.00) per day.
