(House Bill 909)

AN ACT to add new Section 1095A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County (1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's
County", sub-title ''Maryland-Washington Regional District", the
same being new Section 73-1A of the Montgomery County Code
(1955 Edition, being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland), title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Maryland-
Washington Regional District"; relating generally to the method
and procedure for annexing and including new areas within the
boundaries of the Maryland-Washington Regional District.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 1095A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953 Edition, being
Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Prince George's County", sub-title "Maryland-Washington Regional
District", the same being new Section 73-1A of the Montgomery
County Code (1955 Edition, being Article 16 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Montgomery County", sub-title
"Maryland-Washington Regional District; and to read as follows:

1095A. (a) - (73-1A) (a) Initiation ENLARGEMENT OF THE
MARYLAND-WASHINGTON REGIONAL DISTRICT by Board of
County Commissioners.

Any area in Prince George's County within any one election district
which area abuts territory within the regional district of the Mary-
land National Capital Park and Planning Commission may be an-
nexed to the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Com-
mission and included within the boundaries of the regional district
of the said Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commis-
sion, subject to laws and provisions appertaining thereto,
BY ORDI-
NANCE ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSION-
ERS, PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, SUBJECT TO THE CONDI-
TIONS HEREINAFTER STATED, provided that the proposal for
such inclusion may- be initiated by resolution regularly introduced and
approved by the Board of County Commissioners of Prince George's

County by the favorable vote of at least four of said Commissioners,
