it is hereby repealed, and that a new Section 3, be and it is hereby
enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the place and stead of the section
so repealed, and to read as follows:

3. It shall be lawful for the Convention of the Protestant Epis-
copal Church in the Diocese of Easton, heretofore incorporated
within the nine counties of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, (a) to
alter and adjust the boundary lines between existing contiguous
parishes, which by agreement, desire to effect a change in such boun-
daries, as well as to determine and definitely establish the boundaries
of any parish which may be in dispute or uncertain for any reason;
(b) to erect new parishes outside of the boundaries of any existing
parish, including a new parish or parishes within the boundaries of
a defunct parish; and (c) to divide or unite existing parishes so as
to constitute a new parish within the boundaries of an existing
parish or parishes, subject, however, to the provisions of Section

12 (c) of Chapter ----of the Acts of 1957 (Senate Bill 103), requir-

12 (C) OF CHAPTER 195 OF THE ACTS OF 1957, REQUIR-
ing the consent of those members of the Church, who shall be affected
by such division or union, and who are resident in the areas con-
cerned.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 751

(Senate Bill 609)

AN ACT to add five new sections to be known as Section 177 through
Section 181 to Article 89B of the 'Annotated Code of Maryland
(1956 (Supplement), title "State Roads", sub-title ''Outdoor Ad-
vertising Along the Northeastern Expressway", prohibiting the
erection of certain billboards, signs and advertising of any kind
within five hundred (500) feet of the Northeastern Expressway,
and providing that property within five hundred feet (500) of said
expressway 'shall not be leased for the purpose of displaying out-
door billboards, signs and advertising material, and authorizing
the State Roads Commission to enforce and administer such Act
and to remove and confiscate certain billboards and signs under
certain conditions.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That five new sections to be known as Section 177 through Section
181, be and the same are hereby added to Article 89B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "State Roads", sub-
title "Outdoor Advertising Along the Northeastern Expressway", to
follow immediately after Section 176 of said Article and to read as
follows:
