of this Act nor shall they be construed to apply to or affect any cir-
cumstances or set of circumstances other than those actually before
the court for adjudication, and to this end the provisions of this Act
are declared to be severable.
Sec. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1957.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sub-section (4)
(a) and (b) of Section 185A of Article 48A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Insurance", sub-title "Life,
Accident and Health Insurance", relating to group life insurance.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That sub-section (4) (a) and (b) of Section 185A of Article 48A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title '"Insur-
ance", sub-title "Life, Accident and Health Insurance", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
(4) A policy issued to the trustees of a fund established by two
or more employers in the same industry or by one or more labor
unions, or by one or more employers and one or more labor unions
or by an association of persons licensed by the State of Maryland
OR AUTHORIZED BY LAW to engage in a recognized profession,
or by an association of employees of a political subdivision, OR ANY
OTHER ORGANIZED CROUP OF INDIVIDUALS OF OCCUPA-
TIONAL SIMILARITY which trustees shall be deemed the policy-
holder, to insure employees of the employers or members of the
unions or members of an association of persons licensed by the State
of Maryland OR AUTHORIZED BY LAW to engage in a recognized
profession, or members of an association of employees of a political
subdivision , OR ANY OTHER ORGANIZED GROUP OF INDI-
VIDUALS OF OCCUPATIONAL SIMILARITY for the benefit of
persons other than the employers or the unions or the association of
persons licensed by the State of Maryland OR AUTHORIZED BY
LAW to engage in a recognized profession, or the association of
employees of a political subdivision , OR ANY OTHER ORGAN-
IZED GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS OF OCCUPATIONAL SIMIL-
ARITY subject to the following requirements:
(a) The persons eligible for insurance shall be all of the employees
of the employers or all of the members of the unions or coll the mem-
bers of an association of persons licensed by the State of Maryland
OR AUTHORIZED BY LAW to engage in a recognized profession,
or all of the members of an association of employees of a political
subdivision, OR ANY OTHER ORGANIZED GROUP OF INDI-
VIDUALS OF OCCUPATIONAL SIMILARITY, or all of any class
