created by Chapter 448 of the Laws of Maryland of 1927 as amended
be and it is hereby authorized to acquire lands for park purposes
outside the Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District in Mont-
gomery County and in Prince George's County but within the Mary-
land-Washington Regional District in (Montgomery County) those
counties if the Commission shall find within the exercise of its dis-
cretion that such acquisitions are necessary to preserve any portion
of the Commission's regional park plan in Montgomery County and
in Prince George's County respectively which is a part of the Com-
mission's general plan for the physical development of the said Mary-
land-Washington Regional District. The Commission is authorized
to expend any funds which under the provisions of the Maryland-
Washington Metropolitan District are authorized to be expended for
park acquisitions in (Montgomery County) said counties respectively
within the Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District, for the pur-
chase of lands authorized by this Act to be acquired by the said Com-
mission within the Maryland-Washington Regional District.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That except as otherwise pro-
vided herein, all Acts or parts of Acts or laws and parts of laws in-
consistent herewith or contrary hereto are hereby repealed to extent
of such inconsistency.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall be effective
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 725
(House Bill 927)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of
Charles County to borrow in their discretion upon the faith and
credit of said County an amount or amounts not exceeding Five
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00), and to issue bonds there-
for, for the construction, alteration, remodeling and equipping of
schools in Charles County; and providing for the levy of taxes
in Charles County for the payment of principal and interest on
such bonds, and/or the pledging of the proceeds of the School
Building Incentive Fund for such purposes.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Charles County be and they are
hereby authorized and empowered to borrow at one time, or from
time to time, on the faith and credit of said County, a sum or sums
not exceeding in the aggregate Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($500,000.00), and to issue and sell bonds therefor, the proceeds
thereof to be used for the purpose of and for the construction, altera-
tion, remodeling and equipping of schools in Charles County, and to
