be returned to his home port at the first opportunity by first class
passage; and for every day's detention at quarantine by order of
the health officer, [Five Dollars ($5.00)] Seventy-Five Dollars
($75.00) per day for every day of such detention, and maintenance.
Any pilot being detained on board any vessel for any reason whatso-
ever shall be allowed [Five Dollars ($5.00)] Seventy-Five Dollars
($75.00) per day and maintenance for each day he may be so
detained. The payments and expenses incident to the provisions of
this section shall be a liability of the master, agent, owner or con-
signee of said vessel.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 92
(House Bill 267)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 250 (h-1)
of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supple-
ment), title "Testamentary Law," sub-title "Orphans' Court," mak-
ing provision for the annual compensation of the several Judges
of the Orphans' Court in Allegany County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 250 (h-1) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Testamentary Law," sub-title
"Orphans' Court," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
250.
(h-1) Compensation [and travel allowance] in Allegany County.
—Each of the judges of the orphans' court for Allegany County shall
receive [the sum of $15.00 for every day's attendance upon sessions
of said court. Each judge also shall be paid annually the sum of
$200.00 as traveling expenses to be received from the board of county
commissioners of Allegany County in quarterly payments.] as annual
compensation the sum of Eighteen Hundred Dollars ($1,800.00).
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted. That the salary fixed by this
Act for each of the Judges of the Orphans' Court of Allegany County
shall commence as of the effective date of the amendment to Section
40 of Article 4 of the Constitution of Maryland proposed by Chapter
124 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1956 and adopted by the
qualified voters of the State at the general election held in November,
1956.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
