CHAPTER 616
(House Bill 544)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 114(f)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supple-
ment), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Restrictions Upon
Licensees", relating to the selling or furnishing of alcoholic bever-
ages to a monor MINOR within Anne Arundel County OUTSIDE
THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 114 (f) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1956 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Re-
strictions Upon Licensees", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

114. Sales to minors and intoxicated persons prohibited.

(f) [Annapolis not affected. ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY OUT-
SIDE THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS.—Nothing in
this section shall be construed to apply and be effective within the
corporate limits of the city of Annapolis Anne Arundel County, In
Anne Arundel County
OUTSIDE THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
ANNAPOLIS any person charged with selling or furnishing alcoholic
beverages to a minor who establishes to the satisfaction of the court
that he used due caution in an effort to ascertain the age. of the minor
and that in the exercise of reasonable caution he was deceived by the
use of documentary evidence, and that for such reasons he was not
able to ascertain that the minor was in fact a minor, shall not be
found guilty of selling or furnishing alcoholic beverages to a minor
nor shall he or the licensee be subject to any penalty or to the suspen-
sion or revocation of the license for such act.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

(House Bill 545)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 133 of
Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement),
title "County Commissioners", sub-title "Public Roads", relating
to the use and maintenance of certain alleys in Anne Arundel
County as public roads.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 133 of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
