Passed Dec 15 Relative to inspec- tion of arms at Easton	No. 1. Resolved, That Perry E. Benson, Samuel T. Kennard, and Lambert Rear- don, or any two of them be, and they are hereby authorised and empowered, by the general assembly, to view and inspect the arms and accoutrements in the armoury at Easton, on the eastern shore, and that they report to this legislature as soon as practicable, the state and condition of said arms and accoutrements, and what number and description have been deposited in said armoury, by or under the authority of Alemby Jump as agent to the state; and the armourer of said ar- moury is hereby requested and directed, to open said armoury when called on by the aforesaid Perry E. Benson, Samuel T. Kennard, and Lambert Reardon, or any two of them, and give such information as they may require to carry into ef- fect this resolution.
Passed Dec 21 In favour of Thos. Wright, &c.	No. 2. Resolved, That Thomas Wright, Robert Wright, and Henry Darden, of Queen Anne's county, against whom the state of Maryland has obtained judg- ments, be and they are hereby indulged from the payments thereof, until the first day of December eighteen hundred and twenty.
Passed Dec 21 Relative to the Po- tomac Canal	No. 3. Whereas, The state of Maryland by a large investment in the stock of the Potomac Canal Company, is deeply interested in its prosperity, both as an object highly beneficial to the community, and as a source of future revenue to the state, and as it is believed that by the consent of the state, and the stockholders generally, measures might be adopted to advance the improvement and completion of the said canal, so as to render it profitable to the stockholders, and impart greater advantage to the state; therefore, Resolved, That the president and directors of the Potomac Canal Company, be requested forthwith to lay before the legislature, such information relative to the situation of the company as they may deem important, and that they suggest such plans for the consideration of the legislature, as they may consider calcula- ted to promote the interests of said company and state. Resolved, That a copy of the above preamble and resolution be forwarded to the president and directors of the Potomac canal company.
Passed Jan 1, 1820 Relative to fur- nishing govern- ment-house	No. 4. Resolved, That the treasurer of the western share, pay to his excellency the governor, or his order, the residue of the sum now remaining in the treasury, appropriated under a resolution of the last session, for the purpose of furnishing the government house.
Passed Jan 1, 1820 In favour of wit- nesses in the Cal- vert contested election	No. 5. Resolved, That the committee of claims, order to be paid by the treasurer of the western shore, to each witness attending this house, or that may attend, under subpoenas issued in the Calvert contested election, on demand, five dollars for his itinerant charges in coming, and on any witness being discharged and proving his attendance, the sum of two dollars and fifty cents, for every day he may have attended the house.
Passed Jan 4, 1820 Respecting wit- nesses, Calvert election	No. 6. Resolved, That the committee of claims, order to be paid by the treasurer of the western shore, to each witness attending this house, or that may attend, or have attended, under subpoenas issued in the Calvert contested election, on de- mand, live dollars, for his itinerant charges returning home on being discharged, and proving his attendance.
Passed Jan 15 1820 In favour of Benj. Jones	No. 7. Resolved, That all proceedings against Benjamin G. Jones, late sheriff of Harford county, and his securities, on judgments obtained by the state, against them, be and the same are hereby suspended until the first day of November next, and that the nine per cent additional interest chargeable thereon, be and the same is hereby released; Provided, the principal and six per cent interest shall be paid on or before the said first day of November.
Passed Jan 20 1820 In favour of Mar- garet Bruff	No. 8. Resolved, That the treasurer of the western shore, be and he is hereby di- rected to pay to Margaret Bruff, of Queen Anne's county, widow of James Bruff, late a captain in the revolutionary war, or to her order, during lite, in quarterly payments, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a captain. .....
