2. And be it enacted, That any receipt, acquittance, release,
or final discharge, from any person authorised to execute the
same, to any trustee or trustees as aforesaid, by a nonresident
of this state, acknowledged as aforesaid, in the town, city, county,
or place, where such person or persons may reside, with a certi-
ficate of such acknowledgment, and seal of office annexed there-
to, may he received and recorded by such register or clerk, as
the case may he, as other receipts, acquittances, releases, or final
discharges, are directed to he recorded as aforesaid, and the re-
gister or clerks may demand and receive such fee for any ser-
vices done, by virtue of this act as is allowed by law in like cases.
3. And be it enacted, That a copy of any such receipt, acquit-
tance, release, or final discharge, acknowledged and recorded as
aforesaid, duly attested under the seal of the office in which the
same is recorded, shall at all times hereafter he admitted as
evidence to prove such receipt, acquittance, release or final dis-
charge.

CHAPTER 135.

An act Supplementary to an act to provide for the appoint-
ment of Commissioners for the regulation and improve-
ment of Princess-Anne, in Somerset County.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the provisions of the law to which this is a supplement,
shall not extend to hogs owned by any inhabitant of Princess-
Anne, and which hogs have been entirely fed and raised out of
the said town, or the. precincts thereof, or have been usually
kept on the plantation of such inhabitant.

CHAPTER 136.

An act authorising the appointment of a Trustee for the
sale of Lot No. 9, of the Choptank Indian Lands, in
Dorchester County.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the governor, by and with the advice of the council, is
authorised and empowered to appoint a trustee, to sell lot No. 9,
of the Choptank Indian lands, lying in Dorchester county, upon
such terms as the governor and council shall prescribe and
direct.
2. And be it enacted, That the trustee appointed in virtue of
this act, before he proceeds to exercise any of the powers vest-
ed in him by virtue of said appointment, shall give bond to the
state of Maryland, in such penalty, and with such security,
as the governor and council shall approve, for the faithful per-
formance of all and singular the powers by this act directed
to he vested in him.
3. Provided always, and be it enacted, That no sale made by
virtue of this act shall be good and valid unless the same be
approved of by the governor and council.
4. And be it enacted, That upon the payment of the whole of
the purchase money, the said trustee shall convey the said lot of
land to the, purchaser or purchasers thereof, which conveyance,
being duly made, shall be valid and effectual to convey all the
