Parts of two
acts repealed.

. returnable to, and now depending and undetermined in the said
court of appeals held for the eastern shore, shall be returned and
continued to the said first Monday in June.
2. And be it further enacted, That from and after the passage
of this act the court for Talbot county shall be holden on the
third Monday in May, and on the second Monday in November,
for each and every year, and that all causes, picas, process and
proceedings, civil and criminal, returnable to, or which shall be
returnable to or depending before the court of Talbot county,
shall be returnable and continued to the third Monday in May,
and proceeded upon, and determined on therein, in the same
manner as they might or could have been heard, tried, and deter-
mined upon, before the passage of this act.
3. And be it further enacted, That all such parts of an act of
assembly, entitled, An act to alter the times of the holding of the
court of appeals, and for other purposes, passed at December
session, eighteen hundred and fifteen, as are inconsistent with
this act, and that all such parts of an act of assembly, entitled,
An act to provide for the organization and regulation of the
courts of common law in this state, and for the administration of
justice therein, passed at November session, eighteen hundred
and five, as are inconsistent with this act, be and the same are
hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 152.
An act concerning Public Worship.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this law it shall and may be
lawful to and for every denomination of Christians within the
city and precincts of Baltimore, to extend, or cause to be extend-
ed, during the hours by them respectively devoted to public wor-
ship, on sabbaths and Christmas days, during the day-time, a
chain or chains, rope or ropes, across any streets, lanes or alleys,
within the said city or precincts, in which their respective places
of worship now are, or hereafter may be situate, provided that
the foot ways along said streets be not thereby obstructed.
2. And be it enacted, That any person or persons who shall
be convicted of intentionally breaking or pulling down any chain
or rope so authorised to be extended, shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor, and shall be punished by fine and imprisonment, or either
of them, at the discretion of the court having cognizance of simi-
lar offences.

CHAPTER 153.
An Additional Supplement to the act, entitled, An act to
Incorporate a Company to make a Turnpike Road lead-
ing to Cumberland, and for the Extension of the Char-
ters of the several Banks in this State, and for other
purposes.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That in all cases where damages are claimed by the owner of
owners of land through which the Cumberland turnpike road may
pass, or where stone, gravel, earth or sand, not already quarried
