places as they shall deem proper, or any one of them, books for
receiving and entering subscription for raising a capital stock
not exceeding one hundred and fifty thousand dollars, in shares
of fifty dollars each, for the purpose of building a bridge over
the river Susquehanna, as specified in be original law to which
this is a supplement, passed at November session eighteen
hundred and eight, chapter one hundred and eleven.
2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That whenever one thou-
sand shares of said stock shall be subscribed for, the company
shall be incorporated as provided for in the aforesaid act.
3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the meeting of the
stockholders shall be at such place as the commissioners for
taking stock or a majority of them shall direct, giving notice
as provided for in the said, act for electing; directors, and their

annual meetings thereafter for electing directors shall be at
such place as the president and directors shall appoint, which
directors so elected may reside in any place.
4. AND BE IT EN ACTED, That the president and di-
rectors may change the site as fixed upon by the commission-
ers named in the original law, in case they shall in their judg-
ment find a more eligible and desirable site for building a bridge.
5. AND BE IT ENACTED, That all such parts of the
act to which this is a supplement that is inconsistent with or re-
pugnant to this law, be and the same is hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 124.
An act for the benefit of the heirs of Joseph Woodall late of
Kent County deceased.
Sec. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the orphan's court of Kent county be, and
they are hereby authorised and empowered, to appoint a trus-
tee to sell and dispose of all the real estate of the said Joseph
Woodall in Kent county, at such time and upon such terms as
shall be prescribed by the said orphan's court, and that upon
the payment of the whole of the purchase money, the said trus-
tee shall convey the said real estate to the purchaser or purchas-
ers, which conveyance being duly made shall be sufficient to
convey all the right, title, claim and interest of in and to the
said real estate, which the said Joseph Woodall had therein at
the time of his death, and which descended to his heirs.
2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the trustee to be ap-
pointed by the said orphan's court, before he proceeds to exer-
cise any of the powers to be vested in him by virtue of said
appointment shall give bond to the State of Maryland, in such
penalty and with such security as the orphan's court of said
county shall direct, for the faithful performance of all and sin-
gular the powers by this act directed to be vested in him; which
bond shall be recorded by the register of wills for the said
county, and the same or an office copy thereof may be put in
suit by any person or persons interested in the performance of the
condition of the same; Provided always, AND BE IT EN-
ACTED, That no sale made by the trustee aforesaid by virtue
of this act shall be good and valid until the same be approved
of by the orphan's court aforesaid; and in case such sale shall
be rejected by the said court, then the said trustee shall proceed
to sell again, and so from time to time until such sale shall be
approved of by the said orphan's court.
