Proviso.

county shall be of opinion that any of said record books,
require to be new bound only, then the clerk of said
county shall contract with a person well qualified to
bind such books, to attend at the court house of said
county who shall proceed under his direction and in-
spection to bind the same, the expences whereof shall be
levied, collected and paid as aforesaid.

Preamble.

CHAPTER 60.

A supplement to the act entitled, An act fort/it relief of
Henry Waller of Kent county.
WHEREAS at November session eighteen hundred
and seven a law was passed, authorising Henry Waller of
Kent county, to hold real property in this state, Provided,
he should become a citizen of the United States on or be-
fore the first day of October, eighteen hundred and twelve;
and whereas the said Henry Waller made application to
the district court of Maryland for that purpose, but ow-
ing to some informality in the necessary testimony re-
quired by law, he was not able to effect his purpose ;
Therefore,

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the time prescribed for the said
Henry Waller, to become naturalized, shall be extended
to the first day of January, eighteen hundred and sixteen.

CHAPTER 61.

An act to incorporate the Union Company of Snow Hill.
WHEREAS, several citizens of Worcester county,
have associated and formed themselves into a company,
and raised a stock of thirty thousand Dollars, for the
purpose of erecting a steam mill and manufacturing esta-
lishment; Therefore,

SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the subscribers for the said
stock consisting of thirty thousand dollars, divided in-
to shares of twenty dollars, their legal representatives,
successors or assignees, shall be, and they are hereby
made and created a body politic and corporate, by the
name and style of the President and Managers of the
Union Company of Snow Hill; and by that name may sue
and be sued, plead and be impleaded, and do and suffer all
acts, matters and things, which a body politic and corpo-
rate may lawfully do and suffer.

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the affairs of said
company shall be managed by five managers, one of
whom to be chosen by the others the president; the ma-
nagers to be chosen by the stockholders, by ballot, each
stockholder having as many votes as he has shares, and
voting either in person or by proxy.
