CHAPTER 51.

An act for the benefit of Ann Hollidayoke of the city of
Annapolis.
Section 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the levy court of Anne Arundel
county shall be, and they are hereby directed and empow-
ered, so long as they see fit so to do, at their levy court
annually, to assess and levy on the assessable property of
said county, a sum of money not exceeding thirty dol-
lars, for the support and maintenance of Ann Holliday-
oke, and that the same be collected annually by the col.
lector of Anne Arundel county, and by him paid to the
said Ann Hollidayoke or to her order.

CHAPTER 52.

An act for the relief of Walter Price of the city of An-
napolis.
SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the justices of the levy court of
Anne Arundel county be and they are hereby authorised
and directed to assess and levy annually on the assessa-
ble property of said county, a sum of money not ex-
ceeding thirty dollars, for the support and maintenance
of Walter Price, and that the same be collected annu-
ally by the collector of Anne Arundel county, and by
him paid to the said Walter Price, or to his order.

CHAPTER 53.

An additional supplement to the act entitled, "an act to
incorporate the stockholders of the Mechanics' Bank
of Baltimore."

SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That every stockholder of the Mecha-
nics' bank of Baltimore, and every person who shall be-
come a stockholder in the said bank, being a citizen of
the United States, and resident within this state, shall be
eligible to be chosen a director of the said bank by the
stockholders thereof, at all future elections of directors,
anything in the original act of incorporation or the se-
veral supplements thereto, to the contrary notwithstand-

ing; Provided however, that at all times nine of the fifteen
directors of the said bank, shall be practical mechanics
or manufacturers as is required by the said act and sup-
plements.

CHAPTER 54.

Proviso.

An act to regulate the breadth of a certain road in Kent
County.
SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the road in Kent county from the
head of Chester to the Delaware line in the direction to
Smyrna, heretofore declared and made a public road,
