house of the county or counties where the lands may lie,
and in such other public places in the counties as they
may direct, at least two months previous to their pro-
ceeding to execute said commission, and such notice shall
be deemed and taken as a compliance with the eighth
section of the act to which this is a further additional
supplement, solar as the same relates to the notice to be
given to all the parties concerned.

CHAPTER 110.

An act for the relief of William French, of the city
of Baltimore.
SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the judges of Baltimore county
court be, and they are hereby authorised and directed to
extend to William French, of the city of Baltimore, the
full benefit of the act of as sembly passed at November
session eighteen hundred and five, entitled, "an act for
the relief of sundry insolvent debtors," and the several
supplements thereto, without requiring the said William
French to produce the assent in writing of so many of his
creditors as have due to them two thirds in amount of
the debts owing by him, as is prescribed by the provisions
of the said act and supplements, and not withstanding any
payments made or preference given by the said William
French to any of his creditors.

CHAPTER 111.

A supplement to the. act entitled, an act to provide for the
settlement of claims arising from the fast or future
employment of the militia of this state.
SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the governor and council be, and
they are hereby authorised to enquire into the amount of
stores laid in by any of the contractors of the militia of
this state, or other persons authorised to afford supplies,
and which stores and supplies may have been taken or
destroyed, or may hereafter be taken or destroyed by the
public enemy; and on the governor and council being sa-
tisfied from all the facts and circumstances attending
any such enquiry, they shall and may allow just and ad-
equate compensation for all losses, not incurred through
the negligence or fault of any of said contractors or oth-
er persons as aforesaid; which said accounts when set-
tled and allowed shall be paid in the same manner as
other militia accounts now are, and the vouchers
and accounts thereof be preserved and recorded in the
manner directed by the act to which this is a supplement.
