1 3. And be it enacted, That the said Ann be, and she is hereby
declared to be entitled to the custody anil guardianship of the
person of her infant child, without the molestation, let, hindrance,
interference or consent of the said John Isett.

4. And be it enacted, That the said John Isett shall not be li-
able for any debts to be hereafter contracted by the said Ann
Isett.

CHAPTER 109.

' A supplement to the art entitled, An additional supplement to the act en-
titled, An act to regulate Public Ferries.
L Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
justices of the levy court of Anne Arundel county are herein-
vested with all the powers and authority given to the county court
of Anne Arundel, by the act to which this is a supplement, pass-
ed at November session seventeen hundred and ninety one, and
that after the passage of this act, the powers of the said county
court with regard to making contracts for keeping public ferries
at the county expense is hereby abrogated and made void.

CHATTER 110.

An act to authorise the Trustees of the Poor for Montgomery County, to
purchase a piece of land adjoining the Poor's House in said County.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the trustees of the poor for Montgomery county be, and they are
hereby authorised at their discretion, to purchase a piece of land
containing thirty three acres, adjoining to, and for the use and be
nefit of said Poor's house.

Levy and
payment.

2. And be it enacted, That the levy court of Montgomery
county be, and they are hereby authorised and required to levy on
the assessable property of said county, a sum of money for the
payment of said land, and when so collected, the same be paid by
the collector to the trustees of the poor for the payment of said
purchase money, if the said trustees shall have paid the same, or
if the said trustees, shall not have paid the same, then to be paid to
the person from whom the said land shall have been purchased.

CHAPTER 111.

An act authorising the recording of a deed from Robert Dennis to Ed-
ward Riggin.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That it ahull
be lawful for the clerk of Dorchester county, to record a deed from
Robert Dennis, late of Dorchester county, deceased, as surviving
commissioner to divide the lands of Edward Riggin, to Edward
Riggin, bearing date the sixth day of September, in the year of
our Lord, eighteen hundred and twenty-three, among the land re-
cords of said county, at any time within six months from the pas-
sage of this act; and that said deed when so recorded shall be good
and valid, and have the same force and effect, as if said deed had
been recorded within the time required by law.
