payable by the commanding officer receiving it from the collector
agreeably to the directions of the act to which this is a supple-
ment, first deducting the stipulated commissions; and the said pay-
master shall give the said collector duplicate receipts for the
amount so paid over, one of which receipts he shall retain and the
other hand over to the commanding officer of the brigade or reg-
iment, to be by the said commanding officer produced as a voucher
when the accounts of the paymaster are settled, as provided for
in the act to which this is a supplement, and that so much of the act
to which this is a supplement, as requires that the said money be
paid by the collector to the commanding officer, is hereby repealed.
7. And be it enacted, That no officer shall be required to serve
as a member of a division, brigade, or regimental court martial, as
the case may be, oftener than his rotation, according to the roster
of said division, brigade or regiment.
8. And be it enacted, That any clause, matter or thing in the act
to which this is a supplement, inconsistent with the. provisions of
this act, be, and the same is hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 165.

An act to appoint commissioners to review the ninth and part of the tenth
election districts in Baltimore county, and establish a proper place for
holding the election.
Whereas, it is represented to this General Assembly, by the pe-
tition of sundry inhabitants of said county, that the place of hold-
ing the election in the ninth election district, is not central and
convenient, and the prayer of the petitioner appearing reasonable;
Therefore,
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Nathaniel Childs, William Hoofman, Charles Jessep Senior,
Richard McGaw and Walter Perdue, shall be, and they are hereby
appointed and authorised, or a majority of them, to review the ninth
and the upper end of the tenth election districts in said county,
and make such alterations and changes in the present location of
said districts, as may most conduce to the general convenience of
the people, by attaching that part of the upper end of the tenth
election district, intended by this act to be reviewed, to the ninth
district, or by lopping off that part of the ninth district aforesaid,
which formerly composed a part of the third election district in said
county (and now called the third collection district) and attaching
the same to the sixth election district in said county; and to appoint
a place to hold all future elections at the ninth district as nearly
central as shall be practicable, having regard to population, extent
and the convenience of voters, and the accommodation of persons,
attendant on such elections; and the said commissioners shall on
or before the first day of August next, deliver to the clerk of Bal-
timore county court, a description in writing under their hands
and seals, specifying any alteration in the location of the said dis-
trict, and also the place of holding the election in said ninth dis-
trict in future; and the said clerk shall record the same is the re-
cords of the county, and at the place so specified, all elections for
said district shall in future be held.
2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners appointed by vir-
tue of this act, shall meet at the present place of holding the elec-
