being no legal existing authority to appoint other trustees;—
Therefore,
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Levy Benson, Amos Benson, David Ely, William Lee Amos, How-
ard Mason, Isaac Hollingsworth Preston, and Joseph Fussell, from
and immediately after the passage of this act, shall be authorised and
empowered as trustees, to receive the legal title, purchase, take, have,
hold, receive and enjoy as trustees for the members of the Society
of Friends, composing the Little Falls Monthly Meeting, and their
successors, all that piece or parcel of ground in fee simple, being a
part of two tracts of land situate in Harford County, the one called
"Bonds Enlargement," and the other called "Bond's Forrest," on
which is erected the Little Falls Meeting-House, not to exceed five
acres, together with the Meeting-House, and other buildings there-
on erected: Provided, nevertheless, that such property shall not ex-
ceed the value of ten thousand dollars.

8. And be it enacted, That Mahlon H. West, Joseph Trimble,
James M'Connell and Amos Smith, from and immediately after the
passage of this act shall be authorised and empowered as trustees to
receive the legal title, purchase, take, have, hold, receive and enjoy
as trustees for the members of the Society of Friends composing the
Little Falls Monthly Meeting, aforesaid, and their successors, all
that piece or parcel of ground in fee simple, being a part of a tract of
land called "Bond's Last Shift," situate in Harford county, on which
is erected the Forrest Meeting-House, not to exceed five acres, to-
gether with the Meeting-House thereon erected, Provided, neverthe-
less, that such property shall not exceed the value of five thousand
dollars.

3. And be it enacted, That in case of the death, resignation, remo-
val, refusing to act, or ceasing to be ft member of the Society of
Friends, of any one or more of the trustees named and appointed by
this act, then and in either of those cases, that body of Friends com-
posing the Little Falls Monthly Meeting, shall supply such vacancy
or vacancies, as soon as it can conveniently be done, so as to perpetu-
ate the number of seven trustees for the Little Falls Meeting, and
four trustees for the Forrest Meeting, forever.

4. And be it enacted, That the body of Friends composing the Lit-
tle Falls Monthly Meeting, shall at all times hereafter keep a fail-
record of their proceedings, or otherwise of the names of the trus-
tees, and their successors hereafter appointed forever.

5. And be it enacted, That nothing herein contained shall authorise,
or in any way empower any of the aforesaid trustees or their succes-
sors to sell or dispose of any of the property, which may be vested in
them by this act, but they and their successors shall hold it only in
trust for the use and benefit of the members of the said Monthly Meet-
ing, and their successors, and that the said trustees and their succes-
sors shall be under the management and direction of that body of the
Society of Friends composing the said Little Falls Monthly Meeting,
and their successors forever.

6. And be it enacted, That in case the Little Falls Monthly Meet-
ing should hereafter be dissolved, that then and in that case the trus-
tees herein before named and their successors, shall nevertheless hold
the said lots or parcels of lands and meeting-houses, for the use and
benefit of the members of the Friends Society attached to the Little
Falls and Forrest Meetings, and their successors, and that such
